PASO ROBLES — November 4, 2026. Three school-board trustee-area contests in Paso Robles Joint Unified have separate leaders, according to the county’s overnight report.
What the early count shows
In Area 1, Thomas Apkarian has 968 votes (55.41%) to Jim Cogan’s 779 (44.59%). In Area 2, Randy Kwiatkowski has 388 (62.58%) to Brian Maxted’s 232 (37.42%). In Area 4, Jennifer Hamm has 970 (52.60%) to John Rowins’s 874 (47.40%)—an early 96-vote margin.
How to interpret the vote
School board trustee-area races represent distinct electorates and should not be combined. The Area 4 margin is smaller than those in the other two races. Election officials will determine final tallies after the canvass.
